Looks like you had a great time Ed and got some great memories of the trip. Some of the images look like they are tone mapped, I really like #1

Kent,
I am not familiar with tone mapping. The #1 picture was taken in raw format with a canon 40 d converted to super color infrared by LifePixel and then processed in photoshop.

I keep looking back at #7. I'm trying to figure out what the blue color is in the picture.

Brad
I dont know where the blue color is in frame 7 came from. The color of this pic was not altered in photoshop. The picture was taken at the entrance of the ice hotel in Chena hot Springs . It shows one of the ice sculpturers at work with all of her tools and blocks of ice. The blue could have come from some of the artificial lighting in the ice hotel. Go to the post on Chena Hot Springs in City scapes, The interior of the ice hotel had a lot of special color lighting. None of those photos were articially manipulated in photoshop

Ray Austin,
I did not walk onto the glacier. My son, daughter in law & grandson did. It is a tough half mile hike from the observation point to the glacier and at 85 , I am not up to it. The observation point is a short drive off the Glenn highway. The Glenn highway is the more scenic route between Anchorage and Fairbanks
